So there are a lot of couples of there that look for some guidance when planning their day, so i have decided to do my own wedding planning checklist for you.
This is my first check list that i have done for couples, it all comes naturally for me when planning, so bear with me as no one is perfect. ☺
My check list is not just for brides and grooms but it is also LGBTQ friendly too, so any one can use it to plan their day.
Most couples start planning there day way before a year but on average it normally takes about a year ( i have planned a wedding in 6 weeks before ).
My main advice would be is to look into wedding insurance and look at the small print. Insurance is a must especially nowadays.
Below i have written just a few items you will need to do to plan your wedding.
12mths before your wedding
CELEBRATE - Go spread the fantastic news on your engagement then start planning.
Budget plays a huge part on planning your wedding. A lot of couples love a pinterest wedding but unfortunately cant afford it. SO sit down and work out how much you can afford for your wedding.
Work out who you would like to be in your wedding party and ask them.
Venues get booked up really quickly especially the popular one and on high season, so look for a venue that works for you and your budget. Whilst your visiting them ask them what their prices include and what their Covid 19 conditions are. Fingers crossed all shall be fine when you start planning your wedding.
I would prepare your guest list. In my last blog i mention about having back up lists, still take this into consideration. Choose your guests from top to bottom
If things start getting to much by this time, then hire a wedding planner to make life easier for you both.
Within the 12 months research your suppliers and book your florist, order your stationary, book
photographer, videographer, music, caterer, MUA, cake and then go find your wedding attire.
Between 9 & 6 months prior to your wedding
Look at honeymoons and reserve somewhere you will need it after all this but remember to check your passports. Don't panic about changing your surname, this isn't a must straight away.
Above is just a few items that you will see on my checklist. Please feel free to print it and enjoy.
